Here's just one of many recipes out there that add crunch to your salad or to grab as a snack when you are looking for something a little more savory. Full of protein and fiber, you just upped your food while having fun.
Ingredients:
1 15.5 oz can chickpeas drained and rinsed (you can also use dried chickpeas, just soak them overnight first)
1/2 tsp salt or salt substitute like Liquid Aminos or Mrs. Dash to taste
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp paprika
Instructions:
Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
Toss chickpeas, salt or salt substitute, and spices together in a small bowl until the chickpeas are evenly coated.
Spread chickpeas evenly on a cookie sheet and bake for about 35-40 minutes, stirring occasionally until they get hard and crunchy, Watch to ensure they don't get overdone.
Serve immediately or allow to cool first. They are good both ways!
