Flu. Be. Gone.

As I hear of more and more people unfortunately getting the flu and/or this new variant of Covid, here are some of the things that were recommended to me by my personal healthcare practitioners that I will share in the hopes of keeping you safe and reduce the length and symptoms once anything is contracted. chas v'shalom,

Supplements:

Vitamin C

Zinc

Quercitin (to help the body absorb the Zinc),

Vitamin D3

Vitamin K2 (to help absorb the vitamin D3)

This is on top of being well hydrated with a minimum of 8 to 12 cups of water a day. As I’ve mentioned in other posts and in my seminars, I generally recommend drinking water on an empty stomach, before meals, versus during or right after meals, which can interfere with digestion.

Hot liquids in forms of teas and soups are fantastic as well.

To tea, or just a bottle of room temp water, add fresh squeezed lemon juice to help boost up your vit C levels. Fresh chopped or sliced ginger or ginger powder or tea is also great. Ginger is high in Gingerol, a substance with powerful anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties, and helps reduce nausea.

For those suffering from a sore throat, I find the Throat Coat Tea extremely effective. You can add some raw honey to soothe it as well.

Eat as clean as possible, focusing on whole plant foods with lots of fresh fruits and vegetables. You can also get their benefits in the form of cold pressed juices or in green smoothies.

Here are some of the brands of supplements I use, but check with your local practitioner and health food store for other options and recommended dosages. Some of them are linked here on the shop page of my website.

Wishing everyone a safe and healthy Shabbos!
