Cute, right? I especially like the crown symbolizing our queen status on seder night. Maybe we should have our girls cricut (emboss) this motto onto our aprons to reminds us of this!
Eating clean and maintaining your healthy habits, especially amidst the chaos, keeps you grounded and better equipped to tackle what comes your way. Here are some fundamentals I recommend keeping part of your schedule as best as you can.
Drink plenty of water to keep hydrated. We often turn to food when we're really just thirsty.
Eat lots of fresh whole plant foods for maximum nutrition and satiation (vegetables, complex carbs, legumes, fruits, nuts and seeds). When your cells aren't getting the micronutrients they need, they are literally starving and calling out to you to turn to food and overeat.
Move every day and try to spend sometime outside and get sunshine into your eyes. These keep your vibrations high and sync your body with your natural circadian rhythm.
Sleep!!! (Don't laugh.) Rest restores your energy and keeps your mood in check. (Even though it is so tempting to use those hours to dust the chandelier and organize your son's pants drawers, now might not be the best time to do it.) We also tend to eat more when we're tired to get our sugars back up.
Remember, When you take care of yourself, everyone benefits.
If you're finding it hard to fit even these basics in, now or during your regular schedule, it's time to talk! There are ways to seamlessly incorporate these and other healthy habits into your life without it being overwhelming and I can show you how.
